So, this happened about an hour ago:
And DH will be home from work in about an hour or so.
Here’s what I was thinking… I wrote “Big Sister!” on a bib in hopes that DD will still be awake when he gets home.
Do any of you lovely and creative Bees have any other ideas? Or a cute way to tell him if DD is sleeping?

OMG you’re pregnant! I have no good ideas though lol

Wow! Congratulations!!! Do you guys give each other random presents sometimes? You could wrap the test in a small box and give it to him, maybe with a card in there too, if your DD is sleeping when he gets home.

Congratulations! I have no good ideas either! I think the bib idea is cute!!

OMG, congrats!! Someone posted recently about putting a dinner roll in the oven and then asking their DH to check on the pizza… he found the bun in the oven.

Holy moly! Were you guys trying, or is he going to be absolutely gobsmacked?
I’m picturing something involving your DD’s old newborn clothes. Because they probably look SO tiny to you now that DD is so much older (I mean hell, my kid is only in three-month clothes and the newborn stuff already looks tiny!). Like put a neworn onesie somewhere, I dunno. I had half an idea but the other half ran away before I could grab it.

@SaltedCaramel: I was just going to suggest that! Love that idea!
Oh – I should say congratulations! Your little one is little, isn’t she?

Thanks everyone! We were NTNP so this is an unsurprising surprise haha.
@iarebridezilla: Cute ideas! We do have dinner rolls around here somewhere, and I definitely have newborn clothes in a box in her room that I’m too lazy to actually pack away.
Thanks! I’m totally shocked (but not really since it’s kiiiiind of obvious where babies come from and all) but the shock has started to give way to excitement 🙂

@DaneLady: I would write a phoney phone message from Aunt Flo
Won’t be in town for 9 months!
And stick it someplace he would see it.

@DaneLady: I can’t come up with an idea for you under such pressure! 🙂 But congrats! That is super exciting! Good luck, can’t wait to hear how he reacts!

I’d wrap that sucker up in a gift box and have him open it when he gets home!

@Nona99: Ooooh, clever. I like it.
