So…I have started a new phase in my continuing saga of “what kind of invitations should I do?” I ordered plates from Boxcar, and even with Sandy blowing through, they came very quickly. Now, I feel like leaving work early, going home, and playing with them. The only problem: I don’t have a machine for pressing, nor do I have the lifestyle crafts starter kit. LOL
What I do have are two soft brayers, some letterpress ink, and a base. Does anyone have any idea what I can do with those items?
I’m DYING over here!

I haven’t done anything like that but I’ve seen some beautiful letterpress invites. Good luck!

haha you can ink it up with the brayers, put a few sheets of paper on a hard flat surface (i say few in case the ink bleeds!) put the ink side of the plate on the paper, cover it with a handtowel something (something you won’t mind getting dirty in case of the ink!) and roll a rolling pin over it…
it won’t be letterpress, but it will be a print of your plate!

@MsCarabiner: Thanks, I’m going to need it. lol
@Ambellina13: Somehow, I didn’t see this until today. I wish I’d seen it last night. I’d have stayed up all night playing with it. 🙂
