Wait, i’m confused. It has no lace on it. How is that what you asked for? I think the dress by itself is great but if you want the lace look i would get something from etsy. good luck!

I love the ones you found on Etsy.  I would talk to your seamstress and explain that what she made you is not at all what you told her you wanted.  I can’t imagine her allowing you to not pay anything, but maybe just pay her 50% for her time?

I like your dress as is, and worn with the bolero. I think it looks great. I would wear it as is.

That’s nothing like the one you showed her, and I don’t see how it’s worth $130. Worst come to worst, can you just wear te dress without it? It looks good without it.

Wait, she is charging you $100.00 to basically sew together some sheer fabric? Where is the lace that you asked for?

Based on what you showed us I wouldn’t pay as it is nothing (not even close) to what you asked for from the sample photo. If it was close and you were unhappy there might be a gray area but it isn’t even in the same ball park.

No way that is worth $130. There is no lace, and honestly the seams are in a stupid place for sheer material. Either insist she make you a new one immediately, or rush order one from Etsy.

I have a full lace, 3/4 sleeve snap in piece from Pronovias that you may like. It goes underneath, so you would have to put some corresponding snaps inside the dress (easy peasy). Pm me with your email address and i will shoot you some photos

NOT worth $100. Where is the lace? It has the raw edges you asked for but seriously, where are the lace appliques???

That looks nothing like what you wanted. IMO she doesn’t deserve to be paid for her time since she didn’t do it correctly, I could understand paying for the materials though. The ones from Etsy are gorgeous but I agree, your dress looks great without it! Although it may be a little chilly with a strapless dress in December, depending on where you live. Good luck!

@Silver Plum Fairy:  Yikes! That is chilly but the snow will make for some gorgeous winter wedding pictures! Congrats!!

I like your dress best with nothing over it.  Were you trying to cover your shoulders or something?

I’m not sure what your seamstress was thinking . . . Do you have what you asked for in writing?  It might help you to  keep from having to pay — or at least be able to compromise a little and pay a lot less.

I would definitely order something from Etsy. I do not like what she made for you, at all.

What the hell. Is this seamstress blind? Definitely like you said DO NOT pay for that. The bolero is not bad looking, but if you are not crazy about it the ones you found on etsy are nice. That thing the seamstress made is a hot mess.
