Last night my son’s glasses got broke. Luckily I called today and they are under warranty yet so I went to go take them to be fixed and my car won’t start. Seems the ignition switch broke.
I have been laid off all year and my old boss calls me and leaves a message saying Hey we are getting busy, call me to discuss hours. There is 16 days until my wedding and honeymoon and I get a call back now! I can’t turn it down or unemployment will end but I seriously don’t know how I will be able to cook all the food for our wedding picnic while working!
Then we went to get our marriage license. We almost didnt’ get it because there is I guess a 30 day waiting period after a divorce and mine was finalized June 26th. They let us though when I told her ex husband and I have been separated for 5 years and it was an agreeable divorce.
Friend is coming over to fix the car tonight and of course it decides to thunderstorm now. I have no idea how the job will affect the wedding since she was out of the office when I called. No idea how I am going to get to work if the car doesn’t get fixed. No idea when I will be able to take my son’s glasses in if I have to start asap.
I just want to go back in bed. Whew!

Eeek, I’m sorry! That sounds so stressful!
But it sounds like things might be looking up for you! Maybe your old job can gradually scale you up in hours…I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope it all works out for the best!

@mrssrm: Thanks! Usually I take things pretty well but 2 weeks before the wedding and it all happening within 24 hours, I feel pretty spent. It can only get better from here…please let that be true!

My Maid/Matron of Honor boyfriend is fixing my car and appearently since I didn’t tell her directly and her boyfriend didn’t say anything to her after she told me he could do it, she is p*ssed off at him and snippy with me because she said she spent the afternoon calling places to get my car fixed.
Sigh…I can’t win today! Hopefully he still fixes it and she stays at home because she has been sick all week with hand, foot and mouth disease.

UPDATE: Car is fixed, we ended up fixing it ourself. Job is not going to affect the wedding or the honeymoon they are going to work around that (Now where the heck did I pack away those scrubs at?!) and I start on Monday.
Maid/Matron of Honor seemed to get over her irritation but I may have caused more since I told her I can’t come on Sunday to find her a dress and she would have to do it by herself. (I told her a month ago that it would be tough to be able to go shopping after mid month. She procrastinated so I don’t know what she wants me to do. I have to move my mom this weekend, attend her wedding, pick up my sons glasses and get ready to work on Monday. My wedding is in 15 days so she needs to do it herself. She didn’t text me back after I told her which probably means she is upset again with me.
