I got married on October 10.
Two weeks after my wedding, a diamond fell out of my wedding ring. I got it repaired for free because I have lifelong service plan on it (and all of our rings).
Today, another diamond fell out! I looks closely and one of the prongs is gone… like just torn right off or something.
I don’t know what to do… I can see now why this ring was discontinued, but I already have it.
Should I just keep getting it repaired over and over again or something else? I wonder if I can get them to thicken the prongs and make them stronger? Or maybe even a replica of this ring, but with a stronger metal (what i have is white gold)?

Where do the stones keep falling out?
If it’s the same spot every time I would see if they would be able to do something to help it from falling out. I don’t know what, though. Would you consider getting a new ring thats not as detialed and lese upkeep?

@rosworms: Can you post pictures? Is it pave?
And how is your lifestyle? Are you careful with your ring? Or does it get worn constantly?

Get something else! This should NEVER happen!

Is this a pave ring that has been resized? That can misalign prongs.
I see you have white gold. Contray to popular belief, platinum is not stronger, it is actually softer than gold. However, due to this softness, it has less chance of the prongs snapping right off, instead, they will bend out of shape…same result though, missing diamond.
Do you have 14k? The alloy might be weak. 18k gold is stronger and good material for prongs.

I work at a gas station. Most of what I do is register ringing and cleaning.
My rings have never been re-sized… the ones i picked out frm the display case fit me perfectly, but I did have my e-ring and wedding ring soldered together.
i’m not certain, but i think that my ring is 14k gold.
my camera is on the fritz at the moment, but here are some pictures from when i first bought it, so you can see how it’s put together. It’s the round ones that have been falling out.

Your ring is beautiful. I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I hope they can figure out the problem!
