So last night I dreamt that it was my wedding day and everything was running smoothly until they were getting ready to cue my entrance and I look down and realize I didn’t have my bouquet! Then I looked down and realized that I wasn’t wearing MY wedding dress. Then I looked in a mirror and my hair and make-up hadn’t been done. I was confused as to how this happened. I tried to run back to my room to slap on some makeup and ran into my aunt and uncle (whom I dislike IRL and have not heard from since getting engaged) and tried to hide from them in a hotel lobby that looked just like the Plaza.
I woke up very confused and wanting to confirm times, dates, etc. with all of my vendors again.
Do the nightmares get worse as you get closer? What are were your wedding nightmares like?

Psshhh I had one a few weeks after getting engaged. I dreamt that I was getting married in someone’s upstairs hallway at log cabin and was wearing a very unattractive shade of pink PRAIRIE DRESS, as in Little House on the Prairie. There were all sorts of other things going on but that seemd like the most horrible to me. None that I can really recall since then…

@chouette: [email protected] Little House on the Prairie dress! I had one or two nightmares when I first got engaged but then nothing. But I’ve definitely been thinking about the wedding more and more and once school is out in 2 weeks it will consume me even more and I’m sure the dreams will get worse. Yay! Lol.

I had a similar dream months ago where I didn’t have a dress, but one of my BMs came in and saved the day carrying a dress!
Then when the processional started I realized I didn’t have my shoes on and I was searching through a basket of shoes and I couldn’t find a matching pair…
And here my dad was standing there thinking that I was ridiculous and I threw on some random pair of flat shoes to walk down the aisle in!
I don’t even own any flat shoes other than my sneakers and flip flops! LOL
I ran out and bought a dress the next week. I still have yet to find the perfect shoe…

I’ve had a few ones but lately I keep getting the same one over and over again that I wake up bald and no one, I mean NO ONE has any hair pieces or extension or just anything to make me not look like a cone head hahaha

Missing hair? Missing shoes? Missing dress? Sounds like a common theme. Lol! Makes sense that we would be having these dreams as we get closer but sheesh! Waking up bald?! LOL! I would wake up crying after that.

Mine have tended to be logistic (I end up at the wrong venue, or it’s the correct venue but nothing about works). I guess I fear chaos more than my look going wrong! But I’ve had several dreams about all the diamonds falling out of my engagement ring. Those are awful. My friend who’s a clinical psychologist says it’s the wedding version of the dreams about teeth falling out.

@ProfessorGirl: I think you nailed it! Maybe I’m freaked out about my look going wrong. I’m having a Destination Wedding so I don’t have the opportunity to meet with the florist, do a hair/make-up trial and I have to travel with my dress. I just have to “trust” that everything will come together beautifully. Maybe THAT’S why I had that dream. Hmmm….interesting.

I keep having dreams about being late. Not me – the guests. Like no one shows up until 11 pm or they go to the wrong wedding. It’s weird.

@MichiganBride2012 – I have “Daymares” about that one! Yes I think I made up that word! Daymares means the same thing about daydreams only they are anxiety ridden! LOL
I keep telling myself that as long as my fiancee and I are there that’s all that matters. Well, we need an officiant, but we have one under contract and one of the groomsmen and one of the bridesmaids is ordained… so we have that under control!

I’ve definitely been having the sleep in late, can’t find the dress, etc dreams.
But last night I hit a new and unique low. I dreamed that we had registered for a roll of 100 postage stamps, which we planned to use on our Thank You notes. But then some guest thought it was really rude to register for the very stamps we would use to thank them, and they let us know about this and I was very upset and felt terrible about being such an etiquette boor.
WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD ADD POSTAGE STAMPS TO THEIR WEDDING REGISTRY? AND WHY WAS THIS WORTH DREAMING ABOUT?!?!?!?
