I was on the Knot for a little while. About a week actually. Nearly everyone was rude to me. I found the Bee on accident, and have enjoyed being here. I appreciate the fact that people here can give honest opinions without being snarky.

I really don’t get what is up with that site, and how it’s so different from the bee.  It’s like almost every thread turns into an argument!  Sometimes it’s funny to just read the drama lol.

Weird I almost wonder if they are fake people. I have never been but the more I read about those boards the more I want to see whats going on!

I used to be on there, for a few months actually. They got so bad I would have to take breaks from the site :/ Then I saw them talking about the rainbows and unicorns of the Wedding Bee and decided to check it out LOL!

They are pretty nasty. I mean, you know me, I’m pretty blunt sometimes, but they take it to a whole new level.

I never thought it was THAT bad.  Admittedly, I didn’t spend too much time over there, given the fact that their interface is totally obnoxious.  Gives me a headache just looking at it…

I found the weddingbee by accident as well.  I’m glad I’ve never actively used The Knot boards, thankfully!  That’s totally uncalled for.  It sounds like the movie Mean Girls, lol.

I found weddingbee by accident too, I think I was googling something about centerpieces! I have heard horror stories about the Knot, but I’ve never gone there for anything other than to look at pictures!

I never get being mean to voice ones opinion, especially on something as simple as that. Yes, you aren’t supposed to call it a wedding if the wedding already happened, but you can call it “A Celebration of the Marriage of….” So really, does one need to get hostile about that? The person wasn’t saying she was planning to skin someone and wear their ribcage as a hat!

I like to boards on the bee, a lot for support, not so much need to “one up”

@dynamic_duo:  I don’t find the knot snotty.  Granted, I don’t go there too, too often but one thing I like about it is they’re not afraid to give someone a dose of reality instead of telling them anything they want to do in the name of their “big day” is just fine.

Someone wanting to stage a “wedding” four years after they actually got married?  Please.

Yeah i was there for a couple of days …. and I was totally lost at why they take the most horrible thing someone’s posted about them and use it on their signature.  that would tend to amp up the snarkiness & creative zinging.  I can totally understand wanting to be snarky once in awhile …. but we’re supposed to be helping each other have a beautiful day.  (insert rainbows, butterflies, fairies and angelic singing here) lol
