@theEguarantee:  I’d say that work is appropriate to that fee.

@theEguarantee:  I think the work is okay, though the inconsistent editing throws me a little. Notice how the Holly & Shane wedding (9.3.13) is faded with bluish tones (the things that should be black in the photos look blue) but then in other posts there is a totally different editing style without the faded hazy look and more clean, true colors. I would not be able to tell what my photos would actually look like if I hired them and that is a concern for me at that price level. I understand it’s more than one photographer but if they are packaging themselves this way there should be some consistency.

I only see one wedding under Team Amanda’s portfolio. There are only TWO actual weddings posted on the entire blog, which was only started at the end of April this year. That would not be nearly enough experience for me to fork over $3500-$4000. I charge not a TON more than that and I have over 100 weddings under my belt. I think these photographers will do great with a few years of experience but they just aren’t there yet to be commanding full time professional rates. You could certainly do better in Louisiana with that budget. The founder guy (Mark Eric) has good work but this looks like he is farming out work to his associates who are perhaps not as skilled or experienced just yet.

With photography (as with almost anything else) I really feel that you get what you pay for.  I’m spending more on photography than many people spend on their weddings and I honestly feel that it’s worth every penny.
