I am already ‘bride skinny’ and it’s totally overratted. Give me some hips and ass anyday. I am still trying to get there.

I know several people who got down to the thinnest I’ve ever seen them on their wedding day, only to proceed to gain tons of weight afterwards and even admit that they didn’t care now that the wedding was over. I don’t really get it honestly, I want to lose weight but that’s because I’m overweight, sure I want to look my best on my wedding day but I also want to be the healthiest I can be for when we start TTC and for the rest of my life.

I’ve been trying to eat healthier for my skin to stop thinking I’m a teenager (hello hormonal adult breakouts!) and I’ve lost the 11 pounds that I needed to lose anyway. I’ll take it! I’m not trying to get bride skinny either, but I do want my skin to look nice on my wedding day!

marinarosalin:  Same here with the skin. I find that if I eat fast food a week later I see it on my chin, so I too am trying to watch what I eat for the sake of my skin! So for 4 more weeks the worst I will do is MAYBE Chipotle or Chickfila.

bee_elle:  Can’t please everyone.

I started a fitness and lifestyle overhaul about 2 months before we got engaged. Obviously getting engaged or married was not the motivation!

I dropped 13 lbs, but I also got stronger, and stopped with the junk food trainwreck that was my nutrition habits. I actually had someone who knows both Fiance and I (and who grilled Fiance about where he got my ring) suggest that Fiance must have spent $1,000 for every pound I lost… and implied heavily that it was no coincidence that he proposed after I dropped the weight.

*sigh*

stokesto:  Ew, what the hell. Good for you for having the motivation regardless!

I’m already really petite, 5’3″ 95lbs but I’m hoping with a little weight training and a better diet I can gain a few pounds or at least tone up. Seriously, if I could have a butt, that would be fantastic.

man I hope I gain weight. I’ve always been a size 00 (canada) or size 0 (states). Im hoping for a size 2 one day! I dont look unhealthy by any means, I’m proportionally small and lucky to have a nice rack… i just want my body to fill out a little more.
