@Serey:  Well, I’m waiting to see what is happening with Winter Storm Nemo. The forecast keeps changing for where I live so I have no idea what my plans are for tonight.

Tomorrow- I have to work in the morning and then we are supposed to be having my SOs dad’s 50th birthday get together.

Sunday-My best friend is an amateur photographer, so she is doing some couples shots of SO and I to give to our mom’s for Mother’s day ๐Ÿ™‚

What about you? Doing anything fun?

My Darling Husband and I will be renewing our vows at a special alumni ceremony at my old college ๐Ÿ™‚ Haven’t been back there since I graduated in 2010, and I think the vow renewal will be really sweet.

Relaxing with my husband. Which is good, since it rarely happens. I forsee a naked day playing video games.

Sounds amazing.

The women from my church are doing a ‘Renewal’ at a nice hotel in Kansas City. Should be a lot of fun! We have the room until 1am tonight for games, sushi and movies. Can’t wait!

@Serey:  Good idea to get a positive vibe going ๐Ÿ™‚

I plan to tackle more of our nursery and get things set up the way I want them.  Apparently they call this “nesting” hahaha!

Also, my brother just turned 28, and we’re having a dinner this Saturday for him.  28 might not seem like a landmark birthday or anything, and dinner with family is probably something most people do on the regular, but my brother has definitely been given a second chance to turn his life around (or maybe a 10th chance… I am not sure)

You see, he was addicted to crack, cocaine, heroin, and a myriad of other illegal substances.  He has now been clean, sober, and working hard to put his life back together for over a year.  We had a cookout at home for his one year anniversary (since he was on house arrest, it had to be at our mom’s house).  He has been participating in an intense drug rehab program and he’s been doing really well.  He got his license back, he has a job, he even has a checking account!  I’ll never forget how excited he was when he opened a real, grown-up checking account.  It’s not something he thought he would ever be able to do.  He made a LOT of terrible decisions, he lied to people, he stole from people, he was kind of a shit for a very long time, but he is FINALLY turning things around and the fact that he survived this far into his 20s is really something to celebrate ๐Ÿ™‚

Tonight my SO is cooking dinner and we’re having a relaxing night at home. Then I have to work for a few hours tomorrow morning (I can’t remember the last time I had to work on a Saturday) and I have some errands to run. The rest of the weekend is plans free so far!

I wish I was going to be doing something fun this weekend, but alas, I will be going to my monthly drill with the Reserves…but I promoted to the next rank this month, so that’s good!

Fiance has the weekend off so he will get to hang out at home with the pets, which I’m happy for since his work drags him down.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Going baby shopping, can’t wait. Also picking up an old timey coffee grinder to display in the kitchen which I’m giddy about.

Tomorrow we’re busy all day with meetings, birthday parties and church. Sunday evening we’re hosting our youth groups annual Valentine’s Dinner to raise money for our church’s building fund! Busy weekend, but hopefully worth it and fun!

Sleep!!! (and some exercise and church)

Resting up for next weekend. Next weekend we have to take MIL’s dog for a week, so I need all the sleep I can get. She’s cute, but she’s also a little shit. At least she was the last time we took her!

Darling Husband went back to school a few years ago and just graduated with this Bachelor’s in December.  Even though he’s 29, his parents are so proud they’re throwing him a huge graduation party!  I’m very excited about it.

I don’t think I have any plans this weekend at all. Maybe cleaning/organizing? Hopefully finishing up the new layout on my blog, but I’ve been waiting for this site to come back up so I can snag their social media icon silhouettes and it’s been down foreverrrrrrr (it says “we’ll be right back! we’re installing cool new features!” …for the past week+?) and they’re ignoring my Facebook posts. We have reservations to our favorite restaurant on Monday, though, to celebrate our engageaversary (a week late, but we couldn’t get a reservation last week).
