That’s wonderful news! Seeing the heartbeat is such a big deal!
I’ve never had an bleeding from it, but I had/have a sub-chorionic hematoma (a blood clot that’s between my placenta and uterus). It was there at my 8 week scan, my 12 week scan, and my 20 week scan, and never grew. I’m almost 31 weeks, and as far as I know it’s still there, and I’ve had a near text-book pregnancy. JHoller had one too, and she had some bleeding in the first trimester, but now she’s 14 or so weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby. Hers went away, likely reabsorbed into her body.
It’s a scary thing, for sure, but try to stay calm. Seeing the heartbeat is a much bigger deal.
AND FOR YOUR SANITY, DO NOT GOOGLE IT! PEOPLE NEVER WRITE ABOUT THE HAPPY ENDINGS, ONLY THE BAD ONES! FOR YOUR SANITY, DO NOT GOOGLE! (Seriously, I did, and it’s one of my big regrets. I didn’t sleep for a week).
