Sporty-Bee: Yay! Congratulations on your “official” engagement.  Your ring is drop-dead gorgeous. I love, love, love the color of your amazing center stone. And it looks beautiful on you. I’m so happy that your ring is now on your finger!!

Congratulations! I know exactly how it feels to be ‘practically engaged’ but not able to wear your ring yet. And how it feels to finally get your little beauty on your finger. You must be over the moon with excitement 🙂

Congratulations! I know how it feels to have to wait for your ring to make it “official”! I’m in the same boat now too. To make it stranger, I just went on a 10 mile hike with my FI and it was the hardest route we’ve ever taken and we were 2500 feet up. I got to try on my ring that day, but I have to wait to wear it full time 😉

Your ring is so stunning! I love how colorful it is! Congratulations to you both (again)! What a wonderful story to tell everyone 🙂

Sporty-Bee:  Thank you! What a gorgeous view! I love hikes, I wish I had taken more of them this summer. I’ll share a picture from my hike too 😉

My parents wanted my FI to go to them with ring in hand to ask for permission before presenting it to me. Since our schedules are all so nutty — I’m away at school, FI works full time, and my dad is constantly on business travels — we decided to pick a day where he will “propose” (again), but this time with my ring. October 4th! It’s not too far away.

I feel kind of silly having it planned out like this, especially since I told him he didn’t need to propose, just ask for permission, but he says he has something special planned. It was supposed to happen on our hike, but he was never able to set aside time with my family. I’m very excited, though 🙂

The trail we took was centered around the 22 natural waterfalls of various heights that cascaded down the side of the mountain. Going back up was very tough! The tallest waterfall we came across was 90 feet. Absolutely one of my favorite hikes 🙂
