EMDEsq:  I did it. I know you’re not “supposed” to, but I live in OK, and I’ve seen people show up to black tie affairs in jeans. So I figure if I put “semi-formal” people might get the hint that it’s slacks and a button down/cocktail dress type deal.

I don’t care how I look, impolite, what ever. It’s my wedding. It’s not like I put “no jeans” on my invitation.

I’m having my wedding at a mansion, but when people see “mansion” they may think SUPER formal, like floor length dresses etc. It’s going to be summer semi-formal. I’m in a tea length dress myself, and my groom/groomsmen will be in khakis and a button down with a tie.
