this is just insane.  a friend of mine just posted that their house is less than 200 meters from where she lives and she just keeps posting.  if I were her,  I would be down in the basement with all my doors barricaded.

Wait, what? One of the Boston Marathon bombers was killed, plus a policeman at MIT? I’m confused. Time to Google it, because this is getting too crazy.

This is craziness! Just hoping they can get this guy without anyone else getting hurt.

Absolutely awful. Apparently they have named the suspects as Tsarnaev, supposedly from Chechnya and they are brothers.

So, so crazy. I hope they find that second SOB. Actually, I feel bad for his mother using that term…

I must say also that law enforcement did an excellent job of accurately identifying the suspects so soon after the bombings. It’s impressive. And there’s no place where the remaining guy can hide; the public outrage over what they did is too great that somehow he’ll be ferreted out.

Crazy.  I hope they get him soon.

I’m just surprised they stayed in Boston.  I thought for sure they would have grabbed a car and driven as far away as possible.

A very dark part of me hopes that the citizens of Boston get to the second bomber before the police.

@BeachBride2014:  “I’m just surprised they stayed in Boston.  I thought for sure they would have grabbed a car and driven as far away as possible.”

My dad’s friend is an ex-police officer and he says, thankfully, that criminals usually aren’t very smart. In this case it’s helpful that the suspects were stupid enough to stay in Boston. Any rational person would have fled and not stayed in a city where a huge manhunt has been initiated. But then again rational people don’t make bombs…

I woke up to texts this morning from my parents, DH’s mom, and another friend telling us the city was on shutdown. Words don’t describe how I feel – incredibly sad and depressed still, worried, etc…  And I DO hope they catch him alive.

Also an MBTA employee injured.

The second bomber ran over his (dead) brother in a car to getaway.
