I just walked into the stores I went to without appointments.

I went to David’s for a friend without an appointment, and they were super rude and would not let her try anything on.

I randomly had the day off today, called one of my friends and we did a walk-in at a few boutiques.  I think the fact that it was the middle of the day in the middle of the week worked in our favor, but most places require you to have an appt. on the weekend.

If I knew I wanted to go to a particular salon, I usually made an appointment; that being said, about half the time I went on a whim and just walked in.

On the weekend, though, the salons will probably be busier and it might be harder to convince the staff to work with you.

Pretty much all the ones around here required appointments.  David’s Bridal was the worst–we attempted to go in once just to look at dresses, in the middle of the day on a weekday, and still couldn’t do that without an appointment.

I’d check the website of the store you go to-some may require appointments

Does this mean your friend fell through with making the dress?  So sorry.

I don’t think places would have a problem if it’s during the week.  Weekends are definitely appointment only.

Haha…I have been telling the consultants that I am a designer and seamstress up front so that they can save their time trying to pull one over on me with bad measurement taking.

I didn’t even bother making appointments either although I went at a random time (like 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday or something).

All of the salons I visited needed an appt made. Sorry 🙂 We even went in a hour early to one shop and they turned us away. boo.
