I remember now I watched a wedding procession on youtube where the bridesmaids each had one long flower, I believe it was a peach tulip or something with a long green stem. It looked beautiful.
I don’t remember what the bride had. I should check it out again.
I didn’t see anything on just one flower on weddingbee so I went onto yahoo and people said this can look good if done right. I heard about long stemmed rose with a ribbon and some other things.
One flower (real of course) would obviously be tremendously better for my budget. I’d go all out with it, make sure they’re gorgeous so that it looks right..
Anyone seen this before?

I’ve never seen this in person but I have in photos of real weddings and I think it’s a beautiful look. If it’s what you want then go for it! 🙂

It can be done, definitely. You can even try to find several flowers for each at a local floral wholesaler, or honestly, even a supermarket or COSTCO.

I’m considering doing this too – mostly because I feel like flowers are pretty wasteful (for us), since they die. And I’m not quite sold yet on silks…
So yes, I am also considering the single blossom for my girls! I’ll probably do a small hand tied bouquet for myself, and we’re not doing bouts or corsages for anyone.

I’ve seen this done with calla lilies and I think it would be beautiful and simple! Go for it!

That’s what I am doing, but using Calla Lillies. I am going with cream for the ladies and tying a gold bow around them.

I think this is a great idea! I’ve seen it done with Calla lilies and I think other good options would be garden roses or peonies… because their blooms are pretty big! ribbons hanging down from a bow would give it added oomph if you wanted that!

You know, after I posted last night I was wondering:
I know it looks great walking down the aisle, but will it look just as good in photos? Do full bouquets look better?
The photo above is helpful but if anyone has one with the entire bridal party that would be great.
What do you guys think: would full bouquets look better in photos?
By The Way: It was this flower above in the photos that I’d seen in the youtube wedding (what is that, that’s not a tulip is it? i’m terrible at this…)

I have seen it (in fact i was in a wedding were we just carried one!) and it really pretty! 🙂 I think its a nice simple, elegant look. i think my bridesmaids are only going to carry like 3 cala lillies each.

I have seen it w/ Calla Lillies, like other posted mentioned. And also w/ a single big gerbere daisy! I think simple and beautiful
