Still many to go. But I have the bits and pieces all ready. This is a total DIY, with no pre-cut, pre-stamped, pre-printed anything (except the envelopes which I did line myself with the silver embossed tissue paper). I cut the cards, embossed, etc.
The total cost for 95 invites is $42 (almost 45 cents per invite).
Postage will cost an additional $70(ish).
I posted a mock up of these a few months back and all of your input helped a great deal. I tweaked and tweaked until I could not tweak any more.
I hope (really hope) you like the final product.
So here are a ton of pics:
(this is an embossed stamp, but the sparkle is showing up in the photo 🙁
So over half of these are going out via international post, so I placed a priority on keeping these under one ounce which saved over $100 on postage (yay!). Our international guests are also the main reason we choose online/phone rsvp. Some of our StDs took over 2 weeks to arrive.
Here is the supply and price breakdown:
Black Card Stock (50 sheets per pack, 2 cards per sheet)= $5
Velum sheets (open stock 12″ sheets, 3 wraps per sheet) @ $.20 each, 35 sheets = $7
Green card stock (open stock 12″ sheets) @ $.12 each, 25 sheets = $3
Fine ivory paper 50 sheets per pack, 4 invites per sheet) = $5
Stamps, inkpad, embossing powder =$13
Envelopes (from a kit, still have the cards left over) = $8
Silver tissue paper for envelope liner = $1 (with a lot left over)
Total supplies = $42
(note: I already had a cuttlebug and silhouette machine, so I didn’t figure that in the cost)
Total postage (50 U.S. invites @ $.46, 45 international invites @ $1.10) = $72.50
