I will only have one ring to represent both the engagement ring and the wedding ring. We’re just going to have my ring cleaned right before the wedding since I’ll have worn it a year and got it all grungy 😉

I tried putting other rings with mine and it just looked silly. So, no need to get more rings.

Mine is a 1.6 ct equivalent green amethyst on my 5.5 size finger:

@JoCoJenn:  Thank you! The center stone is a black diamond, they had quite a few for me to pick from so I made sure to get one that was slightly transparent so I could see the sparkle. That’s probably why it looks like there is blue in it from an angle, someone else had told me the same thing. I even had one think it was brown. lol I purchased the ring at Rogers Jewelers, I think in other areas it is Samuels? They were great. We decided to add a halo, mounted the diamond, and all was done when we got back from Starbucks. its a 2.10 ct and my size is 7 if that helps at all also

Here is a closer pic of the black diamond so you can see the sparkle.

@NovaGrey:  love this ring! Quite stunning and love your silver nail tips! Are they stick on strips or painted on and did you do them yourself?

@lifegirl:  Thanks! 🙂 I knew I was getting engaged soon, so I was trying to keep my nails nice. That day they were chipped a bit though. I just painted them myself (though strips would be much easier).

@JoCoJenn:  Yes!  I have one ring!

Here is my ring on the day he proposed.  We were backcountry skiing in Utah.  It’s a non-eternity band, with 95 diamonds in a pave setting.  It’s the Flora Ring by Brilliant Earth.

I see a trend with the one ring ladies – they are all very wide!

Mine is 6 mm wide and frankly adding another ring just feels uncomfortable.

For our wedding day, I took off my band and H has both the rings in his pocket.  Then in the ceremony where there’s the ring exchange, we used our rings there.  So now when he put on that ring he was making an updated promise (compared to what he said when he put it on during the proposal).

@sienna76:  My ring is my one “multipurpose” ring and it’s not wide, but I agree with you that most are!  We did the same thing….I wore my ring until just the wedding day and then gave it back to Hubs to give back to me during the ceremony.  It’s a simple half eternity band….I would be pushing my luck to try to get away with anything else at work (boo).
