I have only one sister and only one brother and I am really close to both of them. I am thinking about asking each of them to stand with me.
I wouldn’t have any other attendants if I did it this way.
Is that too weird?
My Fiance has only one sister and he is close to her and has one little brother who is too young to be in the wedding party. He is thinking about asking his best friend to stand with him and also his sister.
I was thinking my brother would wear the same as groom and best friend and my sister and his sister would wearthe same dress with maybe my sister having different flowers or something to set her apart a little.
I’ve just never seen it done that way so just asking….
would everyone be thinking “what the heck?”

I dont think so. I think its sweet. While I am not asking my brother’s to stand with me, I am asking a dear close male friend to stand with me. I am dressing him in a tux, with vest and tie to match the bridesmaid gowns, but no jacket, so he looks different from the grooms man. My fiance wanted to make it even, So he has his brother, brother in law, and his sister.. We are putting her in a black dress with a sash to match the grooms side color. I say good choice on your attendents! Better then some friend who may not be there in 10-15 years

We only had our siblings stand up with us. I don’t think there’s anything weird about it at all.
The last wedding I went to had a girl on the groom’s side, and she wore the same dress as the BMs but in black to match the tuxes. It looked really nice IMO.
