I was browsing around etsy looking at dresses, and this one caught my eye.
So I clicked on it… And instead of giving measurements, it says one size fits most. From size 7-18. Wtf? Am I just being dense? How can a dress that doesnt appear to have any sort of corset or adjustment thing fit so many different sizes? Is it super duper elastic?
I’m not even looking for a dress yet, honestly. But I almost want to buy this one just because its pretty, cheap and I REALLY want to see how they say it can fit so many different sizes. XD

I’ve seen several of those, but the highest it ever went to was maybe a 14 or 16. I can’t imagine that a huge range of sizes like that would fit most. I guess it really depends on the materlal and how the dress is made.

I’d be suspicious, too. I get that it’s really flowy, but how could it fit all those different chest sizes?

There are still some “not to exceed” measurements & a length given, so it’s probably just a very forgiving fabric. I know I can wear a wide range of sizes comfortable with certain fabrics. I also don’t see the back, so perhaps there’s something adjustable there/inside, as well.

I’m guessing lots of spandex material is involved in the waistband from the look of it. I’d venture to guess that somebody in the higher range of sizes may be able to get it on, but it wouldn’t necessarily look right. If they’re going to split things into multiple sizes they should have more than one “range” of sizes at the least. Maybe a small, medium, and large setup? Being a size 14 I’d be way too skeptical to buy that.
