Is when I am on the phone with someone who is watching TV & I have to then repeat myself because they were not listening to me! If you are on the phone BE ON THE PHONE not in the TV.
How bout you guys? Rant away! I am listening! (Well, I am reading!) haha

Agreed. I turn off the tv if I talk on the phone.

@SoupyCat: As do I, as do I. Sigh lol
It really got to me this time because I didn’t just say “So I went to the store today.” & then silence…. I said “Enter big HUGE story here that I was not about to repeat.” Then Silence…. & Still silence…. Then I heard the TV & knew she was more interested in that. So I got off the phone.

I HATE when im on the phone with someone and they start talking to someone else. It makes me so mad I will seriously hang up on you if you do it to me.
Its one thing to say something like “yeah I just took the dogs out, their fine” but having a 5 min conversation about it irritates me!!!! UGHH!!!!!!!

@MrsRuby—I’m with you! i hate when the person on the phone starts having another conversation with someone they’re with. Annoying! On a more unrelated note, I can’t stand when people aren’t punctual either. Being late every once in a while is fine, but people who are ALWAYS late for things drives me bananas.

Oh this drives me crazy as well! I have started ending conversations when people do this, although more often I have people just start talking to someone else or not say “hang on a sec” before they stop listening. If you’re busy, just say so!! It’s so rude to just stop talking/start ignoring for no good reason. Whew, good vent!

This is kinda along the same lines. Sometimes when my Fiance is watching tv..and I’m trying to have a conversation with him..he completely ignores me because he’s so into the stupid tv. Drives me insane. Sometimes I want to turn the tv off and yell “Listen to me!!” Ahhh.

I can’t stand when people don’t pay attention to you period on the phone. I have one girlfriend who will constantly talk to other people around her while on the phone with me- drives me nuts & usually I’ll just let her go.

I totally agree. I used to be like this (TERRIBLE, I KNOW). So now, when someone calls, I go into a room with NO distractions (no laptop, nada) and give them my full attention.
