We splurged on a Mojito bar at the last second. Our guests loved it!

-First look

-Full communion with the marriage ceremony, for me, some of the most moving parts of the service weren’t even the marriage ceremony parts, they were saying the Our Father together and taking our first communion together

-Gave my bouquet to DH’s mom instead of tossing it (they had their 39th wedding anniversary the day before our wedding)

-Having an after party!  We have the rest of our lives to spend romantic nights alone together, but will probably never have that many of our friends in one place again.  We partied until 4:30 am in a suite w/ tons of booze, pizza and wings with a huge crew.  It was awesome!

I’m happy we had a piñata! And a bundt cake buffet, gorgeous outdoor venue, first look, DIY photobooth, wild turkey parade, and live band…..I was happy about everything, it was perfect. 🙂

I am happy that we didnt see eachother until I walked down the aisle it was somehting that was important to him, and I wanted a first look. But Im happy with the way we did it. It was so emotional and a special moment for us naturally.

I am happy with my decision to have both my dad and my step dad walk me down the aisle together.

I am happy that I had a mother/daughter dance. It was great to have that time together

I am so happy that Darling Husband and I got a limo just for us for after the ceremony it was the only alone tme we got until after the whole day was over

I am so happy we had an adult only reception

I am just thrilled that my step father and I did a funny surprise dance. It went from brad paisley he didnt have to be to the hampster dance LOL

and I am happy that I drove myself nuts with all the details because all of tht attention to the little things really paid off.

Oh and I am so freaking happy we got a hotel for the night of our wedding and not just go home like we were going to. It was a great very romantic evening (even though we were both tired LOL)

I REALLY didnt want to do the garter toss. For one we were having more of a intimate family thing and 2nd I just never liked the “tradition”. I dreaded the thought of that crowd of single men parting like the Red Sea as my garter went flying through the air. But you know what, come the day of I just went with it! I know Darling Husband REALLY wanted to do it, so i never said YES or NO. =) Glad I had a drink before, and hey the crowd didn’t part! And I lived to tell the tale! 😛

YAY No parting of the ‘Sea of Men’

I’m happy that…

-We didn’t have any dancing. It’s just not us, and we could have done it for the guests, but being forced to do all the dances would’ve been the opposite of enjoyable for us.

-We wrote our own vows.

-We decided to have a dinner at my favorite sports bar afterward with just our friends. No trying to be friendly to be polite, just hanging out and celebrating with our closest friends.

-We had time to take a nap at the hotel before dinner. We didn’t sleep, really, but we layed there and cuddled and whispered about how happy we were for an hour. It was great to have that break.

We had a carriage, which sounds totally cheesy, but it was so much fun! We got to circle the grounds twice, which was really the only time Darling Husband and I got to spend with just us during the day.

Had wedding day pictures of parents and grandparents at the reception.

Had a kids table full of activities for them to keep them busy all night. We had a ton of kids so this was a must
