I’m a 7/9/11 and for those of us getting married then, we have exactly ONE YEAR until the big day!
So far, we have:
– venue, both ceremony and reception (at the same place)
– day of coordinator
– and possibly the DJ but the contract isn’t signed yet
My friend has offered to do the Save-The-Date Cards and invites, so those are pretty much done too, except for the fact we don’t have them done yet… just the person doing them.
I’m getting married in Oregon but live in NYC, so I’m trying to get everything done on an alternative schedule since I can’t be there. Right now, I’m working on getting my dress, asking my BMs and getting their stuff, and thinking up all the little details that I want to do.
What do you have done? What are you working on now?

Oh my god I only have my photographer booked….I need to stop procrastinating…..

Wow you are on it! I’m July 2011 and I have the Venue (which incldues all of the catering) and I have narrowed it down to 2 photographoers but havent booked. Ive started looking at dresses to but nothing is final. We also have a day of coordinator. Booking the photogrpher to take engagement pics and sending out STD is my next move.
Lets keep eachother updated 🙂

Hi date twins! How excited are we??? My Maid/Matron of Honor sent me a text today reminding me that one year from today I will be a wifey. It made me tear up a little. 12 months are going to fly!

Hey twins 🙂
I’ve had 6 months of Northern Living to get some things done. I’m about 4000 miles away from my wedding venue on the East coast, so most of the “little” details I have to figure out this summer. So far, I’ve got the
– venue/reception(same place)
– DJ booked
– STD’s went out yesterday
– My dress (picked out, but not ordered yet
I’m working on Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, and Groomsmen attire as well as Fiance attire at the moment. Then it’s onto the smaller details 🙂
The next 12 months are going to zoom by! Can’t wait to see pics and hear ideas !

After reading your responses on what you’ve done so far gave me the reassurance that I’m not behind (or well, not THAT far behind at least). Our wedding date is May 2011 and I barely got our reception venue. eek! I def. need to stop procrastinating…

We’ve been engaged since Oct 2008 so to finally hit a year is very surreal since it always seemed so far away! We have alot done/booked:
- epics scheduled
- invites (DIY–started assembling)
- BMaid dresses
- All male ties purchased
Glad to see other 7/9/11 brides! 🙂

wow–u are all making me feel bad i don’t have anything done and our wedding is july 2011. i didn’t know invites go out so early! we plan on sending out invites 3-4 months b4 so people dont forget about the wedding.
@pat291: Invites don’t go out that early. I guess people are just getting early on putting them together. Most invites go out about 3 months early, with a deadline being 2-4 weeks before the wedding (depending on when your vendor needs to know the final head count).

When is everyone sending out their Save the Dates?
Done so far:
venue (with caterer, cake, linens)
@gc762: I was originally planning on doing it in January, but it sounds like people are doing their Save-The-Date Cards a lot earlier!

Im sending my STD’s in September. I have a lot of out of State guests (hopefully), so I want to give them as much notices as possible.
