Do any of you use an online budget tool to track expenses? I am trying to pay off my credit card and get more in savings…and i’m not sure where all my money goes each month.
Any suggestions as far as online budget tools go?

Yeah, I totally get that feeling.
I’ve been using Mint.com at the suggestion of some other bees, and it’s been really helpful in showing me the breakdown of my spending.

I use excel and have several categories that I put all of my expenses in. I’ve been tracking it this way for years and it’s pretty interestning to go see.

Quickbooks is only $30 and I used to use it all the time, totally worth the $30. I loved MS Money and am not thrilled they got rid of it 🙁

To be honest, I just use Excel, and my online banking tool, and create colours for categories, i.e. essentials like bills and direct debits in green, things that are essential but I could cut back on like petrol and food in orange, and luxuries in red so I can try and see where I go wrong. Remember to look over a year though so you can factor in annual things like car repairs, insurances that you pay in a oner etc.
