Met my SO on Tinder. I was like you, very skeptical. When my friends was on it, I said all guys are only after one thing. I was that person. After a few years when I was single and ready to mingle, I joined for fun and after a month on it… I met my SO.
We clicked immediately and became exclusive after 2 months. We just signed our purchase agreement on our future house this morning and we’re getting engaged next year.
I would say there are many guys on Tinder looking for sex, but not all of them. And I’m glad I took a chance on it 🙂

I really like this story:
I was newly single and decided to start browsing dating apps. I downloaded all of the free ones, but I liked OkCupid the most. There were a few guys that I chatted with, but they’d either ghost me or end up being creeps. I was hesitant to meet anyone unless they really wowed me. So I started talking to a guy that seemed pretty decent. He was my age and had a good job. So we made plans on a Friday for our first date that following Monday. He went out of town for the weekend and decided that no contact would make our date my interesting. His mistake. I got home from work that Saturday in a bad mood because a previous ghost had contacted me and said some hurtful stuff. I logged onto OkC and cllicked on a random, newly updated profile. The guy was cute, but four hours from me in a neighboring state. I went back to browsing until I noticed someone had “liked” me. Because I didn’t pay, I could only see who liked me if we both “liked” one another. So I went back to the out of state guys page and clicked like. No match. Okay fine. So I go about my business for a few minutes and then it pops up saying I have a match. This guy had gone back and hit like as well. So we began chatting. He seemed pretty great, but I had some reservations based on his answers to questions on the app. We said good night and I went to bed. The next day at work I messaged him again out of boredom. After a bit he brought up some of the differences that I was concerned about and we talked about them. We ended up chatting until 2 in the morning on the Monday I had this date planned. I texted a friend saying I didn’t want to go on the date because I was already a little bit in love with this new guy. But he encouraged me to keep the date with this other guy. Well I did and it was the longest hour of my life. I practially ran to my car so I could talk to another man. Haha. We met 9 days later and have been together for over a year now. I moved in almost five months ago. He’s the absolute love of my life and I am so glad that I was bored at work and gave him a chance!
I’m also lucky that from first download to meeting him, I was only trying online dating for maybe three months.

I met my soon to be fiance on OKCupid! I recognized one of his friends in his picture so I was able to text him and get the low down on him after he messaged me. He got gold stars from his friend and I value his opinion so I messaged him back.
Online dating is always a hit or miss. You’ll never truly know who you will click with. But never try never know!
And actually, my Dad, 2 sisters, brother and I met our SO on OKCupid. So it works!

It’s seems that Okay Cupid has the most reposes 2 years ago. It’s 2020 what’s sites have you found success with. Is Okay Cupid still at the top
And what about eharmony Anyone meet there. Trying to see if the paid vs free are producing more serious relationships

You will probably have better luck starting a new thread than bringing one back that is several years old.
