Okay, look up and architectural salvage place in your area.  They’are awesome…they’ll have buckets an buckets of door knobs, hinges, etc.  They often need cleaning, but the prices are usually great.

“architectural salvage” is the google term.  They are the places that take stuff that’s coming up of old homes when they get rennovated.  You can always find interesting hardware at those places.


If you want new things, see if your Habitat for Humanity runs a store.  Ours sells everything from sinks to hardware to paint to furniture…much of it is brand new!

Also, places called “Second Chance” do the same with salvage, and it’s a charitable organization. Maybe you have one in your area?
