Try http://www.goweddingdress.com!  I didn’t buy my dress online, but I am considering a less formal tea-length style dress from that site for my Rehearsal Dinner dress.  You will most likely still have to pay for alterations in your hometown even if you order online, but they have some great designer styles and many non-designer styles that are just as beautiful.  However, if you end up not buying online, you shoul probably go to a shop and order soon.  Most dress shops need 6-9 months before the wedding date to order.  Good luck!

I have researched this option too because I need to get a dress and alterations all for under $600. I have seen NOTHING but good reviews from Dressilyme, especially since they will custom create the dress to your measurements for like $10. Their gowns are knock offs for between $100 and $330.

I’ve seen reviews with other sites and they have been mixed, so I am going Dressilyme all the way!

The sites that are using the same pictures as the designer sites are replica sites.  You won’t be buying an authentic dress.  They are definitely great for those on strict budgets, but do your homework and read everything you can find about the site before you buy from it. Weddingbee is full of reviews, some great, some not-so-great.

Now, if you’re interested in an authentic dress at a discount, the preowned and sample gown sites are solid options.

The pre-owned sites:

The sample/resale shops:

Some “mall stores” are now selling bridal gowns as well.

http://www.houseofbrides.com is an actual bridal store with an online store as well. You can shop according to your price range. I’ve heard good things about it and I’m getting my dress from there. My price range is the same as yours. They have a pretty big selection so it’s worth taking a look at.

ETA: I cross referenced the authorized retailers on the Mori Lee website to check if House of Brides is one and they are, so that’s another reason I felt safe about getting it from their website.

I have just bought my dress off goweddinggowndress.com on Friday I haven’t seen the dress yet but they have been i’n contact with me over the phone and via email the dress is being made to fit me rather then a standard size which I thought was great as I won’t have to pay for alterations once I get it!! I also asked them to custom make a train to match my dress without changing the style of dress as it didn’t have a train which they were more then happy to do at a small cost! So far Ian veryhappy with them they seem very professional will update once I receive my dress!!

OK, I am kind of a horrible person for not saving which bee posted this, but I saved this from another past post so I’ll re-post it here:

There are several Bees who have ordered replica wedding dresses from China.  This is what I’ve found via the various boards on projectwedding and bestdestinationwedding.com.  Here’s some of the sites that have received the highest praise:

Milly Bridal- Great w/ Lace and you have to order early.

Dressilyme- Get w/Chiffon.  check out threads by @adwc.  She has purchased 2 wedding dresses from there and they are beautiful.

JasmineBridal- More expensive but they do great work.

Jeff Liu- Hit or Miss

Duosheng- I’ve ordered through them a tea length reception dress.  A lil on the higher side but its due to quality of fabric. THIS WAS NOT ME THIS IS A REPOST

Let me know if you need any additional info.  Also have your Bridesmaid or Best Man professional measured.  Often the biggest complaint is the sizing is off.

Good Luck!!!!

I ordered my dress from aliexpress .  I ordered it June 11, I had it July 5.  I think my dress turned out well.  I added an inch to all my measurements (after reading so many reviews about things being small or short).  Alexis Jiang’s store; where my dress came from stated they would send photos of the dress before it shipped and they never did.  They also send I would have tracking information; and they again was not ture.

With that said; I am happy with my dress.  IT is big; again I had ordered it that way.  I could never find the original designer of my dress; nor could I find any dresses in my town that I liked with sleeves (I did not want a strapless gown).

I am glad I took the risk and ordered my dress.  There are a couple areas in the embroidery that could have done better; however by the time I have the alteration I need done; it will not be an issue and I am the only one who has even noticed.

@amw511s:  My niece ordered a $200 dollar dress from goweddinggowndress.com and never received the dress or a refund and it has been over 6 months. I would not reccommend this site at all. The owners of this website also own several others, so I imagine they all have the same customer service, or there lack of. Just thought I would let you know …
