PS. We invited 151 and have 107 RSVP yes. I read some suvery that said the average “accept” reply is 70% of  the invites. For us that seems to be true.

86 is a great number! You will get to spend more quality time with more people. That’s always good in my opinion Laughing

@robsgirl1:  We are almost exactly the same. Wedding is the weekend before. Sent about 90 invites-RSVP count is at 76 and still waiting on 3 responses (needed 40 on our rsvp deadline). I’ve come to terms with it. Make the best of it! you’ll get to visit with everyone more 🙂

I would wait a few days after your deadline and then call the outstanding people. Who knows, they may have misplaced it or forgotten about the deadline. If they are close friends and famliy they probably plan to come, just haven’t gotten around to sending it back to you!

We had a few who didn’t reply and we called them – one of which was the Best Man – lol.  These people just ASSUMED we knew they were coming….. but still – I’m TYPE A and need it documented in writing!  lol!  I mean, we gave you a self addressed stamped envelope….. you didn’t even need to pick a meal (venue offers tableside ordering) – how hard is that people?????

You will probably get a ton more responses in the next few days. Holiday weekends are tough, even with fair warning many people have standing plans for the first long weekend of summer.

Eh, don’t worry about it! You’ll still have fun… we’ve got about 69 out of 117 people coming, so we have a 41% decline rate (it’s pretty nerdy that I figured that up, isn’t it?…hmm..). That’s okay though, we already had the money saved up for 100 people, so that’s almost 700-800 dollars extra for our honeymoon in Europe! Look on the bright side, you’ll be paying less money for less people, right?

Don’t forget that some people are lazy and didn’t send their RSVP back, or it got lost, or whatever. Wait and see if more come late, and then call and confirm. On the bright side though, it will be cheaper!
