Small is better, it gives you the opportunity to spend time with everyone there, rather than having to spread yourself about like you will have to at your wedding. Go for something that incorporates games, much easier with a few, and some bubbly, much cheaper with a few lol.

I dont’t have many girlfriends, so mine will probably be smaller than yours. Enjoy your party!

It will be fun because you can actually take the time with each of your guests. Large bridal showers are fun, but spending an hour opening endless presents can get boring. Just relax and have a fun time with whoever shows up! It will be great πŸ™‚

You can do more involved things that you wouldn’t normally be able to do at a large shower! One thing I’m thinking about for a shower I’m planning for my friend that will be small is decorating cookies because she loves to bake πŸ™‚ That would be a disaster with 20 people!

I had a big shower (40+ people) and a small shower, about 8 total including me and I totally preferred the small shower. I was a lot more relaxed and got to talk to people. People who couldn’t make it still sent gifts, so there was a lot to open also.

We still played a game, but it was more fun than the game at the big shower. People got more into it and paid more attention since there was less potential for side conversation.

One of the best showers I went to was about 8 people.  Basically, we all got together at the MOH’s house and had brunch.  We sat around talking like we normally do and then the bride opened her gifts at the end.  It was great b/c it was just like meeting the girls for brunch but one of us got gifts.  Who wouldn’t have fun doing that?
