I think they can be done up to a year in advance, but typically for destination weddings. If your wedding is in Arkansas, you can definitely wait. My friend sent hers out in February for her September wedding. I got one last month for one in November. 6 months seems to be more common for more local weddings. Not sure that it would hurt to send them out early though. Maybe 9 months is a good time frame?

We are getting married over Labor Day weekend, so I mailed mine out about 10 months prior since it is a holiday.  I would say 8 – 9 months is a good timeframe for a summer wedding, which would mean you would wait until September or October.

My wedding is August 1, 2010 and I’m going to have mine prepped to send out in January…it’ll be a nice picker-upper for the winter, and something fun to look forward to! 🙂

I lived in arkansas for 2 years and can say it’s no different than here in Atlanta..two months is usually good for local weddings, six months for destination weddings to a year.
