I didn’t get mine on the wedding day – but the very next day (as in, day ONE of our honeymoon.) If you go back to back on your pill tablets (and skip the sugar week) you should be able to skip a period, though if you’ve never done that before, be prepared for it to potentially NOT work. Sorry about the luck/timing, but things will still be fabulous!

What if you stop taking the active pills early? I’ve already realized that i’ll be getting my period right around my wedding day, so I’m going to try to pull the timing in. You could do it a week early this month and see how it goes.

There is a pill that you can take that will stop it and its not the BCP. I can’t remember what but Google ‘stopping period’ I think thats how I discovered it. You take this pill and then once you stop it you pretty much instantly have your period

just dont take the sugar pills and keep going with the other pills.. so in my pill package i have 21 white pils and 7 red pills. to miss my period i just wouldnt take the red pills, but instead start the new pack of white pills. so you just keep taking the white pills untill you want your period.. red pills.
im not sure how good for you body this is so i wouldnt do it on a regular basis..

If you want to skip you should start this month because sometimes when start skipping the sugar pills you can still spot. So if you have not had your cycle this month you should skip the sugar pills now and next month. IMO

skip over the sugar pills (the last week of pills that give you your period) and start your new pack right away – you will be good to go! no harm no foul.

Thanks Ladies…lol, I know it will still be a wonderful day but seriously…my wedding day?! ha ha. I am going to try to try the pills and hope it stops it!

I would double check with your gyno before taking others’ advice–I think there’s a difference on how skipping a period works based on the type of pill you’re taking. If there’s just one week of different colored pills for your period, it should be okay, but I would still double check.

I know how you feel, my period was really wonky last month and the tracker said mine would start the day before my wedding. I wasn’t as concerned about the wedding day, I could wear an adult diaper if I was really concerned about leaking on my dress. I was more worried about the honeymoon! Well it turns out, my period this month was wonky as well, so now the tracker is saying I won’t be anywhere near my period on my wedding day. We’ll see how this turns out lol. But I agree with pp, skip the sugar pills on your bc and you should be able to hold it off.

@pinkpaperbride: I agree.
OP, there are TOTALLY ways to go aobut it, but check w/ your ob/gyn. Some pills are all the same throughout the pack, so just skipping sugar pills or moving the sugar pills up a week and then finishing week 3 pills is likely ok. Other pills cycle through each week, so switching weeks around may mess up the way the should work.
A simple call should let him/her reference your chart and help you out.
