I just got my paper samples in the mail!! I ordered a bunch of samples from paperandmore.com so I could start designing my invitations. Never in my life did I think I would be so excited about PAPER!
I love the samples I got and I’m pretty sure I’m going to do a 5×7 pocketfold with a 4×6 sized invitation on the inside (I want some of the paper to show around the border of invite itself).
So a few questions… does anyone have links to free invitation design downloads? I know of downloadandprint.com which is awesome… but I don’t love any of the designs. Are there other similar websites with more designs?
Also… I’ve never seen a template for 4×6 sized invite, its always 5×7! Does anyone know how to resize? Or know where I could find the 4×6 size? I am really not confident that I could actually design an invitation all by myself because I have no idea how to do that… 🙂

So exciting! I don’t know anything about making invites though so I can’t help with the template.

Fun! I wonder if you could ask the downloadandprint.com designer to design something in a 4×6 or re-size one of her other designs to that scale?

@jduck– I’d seriously consider it if I wanted to use one of her designs. I think they’re all BEAUTIFUL but they kind of don’t fit my vision. I did put in a request for my ideal invite (blue and green paisley) but so far, no dice. 🙂

If you are printing them yourself then doing worry about a template, just go into word or powerpoint and set your paper size to 4×6 and go to town. Add some text boxes and some graphics. The possibilities are endless!

Here’s a website that compiles a lot of free templates for various things. There are tons of invitation templates that you can look at. I don’t remember if there is anything with blue and green paisley, but it might help! Good luck!

There’s some lovely free stuff by pro designers over at Nonpareil, including this paisley set. 🙂 You will need Photoshop or Illustrator (or GIMP/Inkscape) to work with these templates, though.
