You can get it anywhere, it doesn’t have to be where you’re getting married. I’m getting ours in Peel Region & getting married in Toronto πŸ™‚

Yup, we didn’t get ours in the same town we were married in, either!  Just as long as you’re in the 3 month window, you’re all set.

each town also prices their licenses differently. In our town its more expensive then in Niagara Falls where we are getting married. Its even cheaper in my parents town. So we are getting ours there when we visit before the wedding.

@Miss Dragon:  That’s cheaper than what it is where I am! I’m paying $140.

@Miss Dragon:  Its $100 in my parents town. $150 in my town and I think it was $125 (or so) in Niagara Falls. So that sounds about right.

@Miss Dragon:  125 in dufferin and I believe Fiance said it was between 150 and 200 for peel region. Make sure you both go pick up the license and you bring all the right id!

Go for the cheapest one!

So far Ottawa seems to have the most expensive:  $160 or $175…somewhere in there.  Ridic!

I looked into it too and you can pick it up at whichever town/city you choose. It’s cheaper in Toronto by 10 bucks then in Halton where we are getting married. $100 is good, we’ll be paying $140 (as long as it doesn’t go up between now and the end of the year)
