I had super high levels with my second pregnancy (not IVF) and only one baby.

remember that every pregnancy is different – shmptoms, HCG levels, etc

I can’t really help yet, because I haven’t had an ultrasound. Can report back Friday.  But my first betas with my first pregnancy were 66 and 153 and with this one were 122 and 288 on the same days. So also almost double. However mine were pretty low the first time so they might just be more ‘normal’ this time. Are you still within normal ranges?

I also felt like I had a few days of surprisingly intense symptoms right around 3.5-4 weeks, but that calmed down for a couple weeks after. Maybe you are just reacting to the initial surge and will adjust and feel less intensely pregnant in a while.

Good luck!

I did IVF had high levels (actually off the chart) and have a singleton.

interesting obseravation but ive been on pregnancy forums for over a decade and deliberately ‘studied’ posts on IVF and multiples and strangely nearly every multiple pregnancy ive come across often had LOW HCG, there seems to be no link what so ever between high numbers and twins.

That said low levels doesnt nessacerily mean twins either, I was low with my loss and although my pregnancy progressed and numbers rose and ultrasounds and heart rates where all fine I still suffered a MMC later on.

How exciting! I mean, I know that twins come with their own challenges, so I don’t want to downplay that, but medicine is amazing and it tends to all work out well in the end. When will you find out for sure?

LilliV :  aww what a good pup!!!! What is your due date? Fingers crossed for a singleton. I think you are safe with just one. I’m anxious for mine tomorrow. That’s the one thing nice about ivf is the scans so soon!

LilliV :  I totally get it…twins run pretty strongly in my family and my generation is overdue for a set, and I think I’d cry for about a month. They’re a huge curveball. Fingers crossed an ultrasound shows one feisty and happy and healthy baby who is just making their presence known!
