One of my male friends got a boob shot from a random gorgeous girl clearly meant for her boyfriend. He text her back obviously so she knew she’d made a mistake. She replied, ‘oops, lol. Enjoy anyway’ haha I thought that was a classy way to deal with the embarrassment. He deleted the picture as soon as he got it of course! He’s a gentleman.

I texted my Uni friend that I loved him. Accidentally caused a fight between him and his girlfriend until my “OMG sorry that was meant for my BF” text pinged through a few moments later…

I used to do it all the time until I moved in with my Fiance and now I don’t have to text him as often because we work together too!

Oh man, that is bad! I’m sorry but I’m laughing for you.

Mine. I was dating a coworker, secretly. We didn’t want to open up our relationship for the whole world to see. Well, we use IM’s at my group and had a group IM going for work related items. Of course, I wasn’t paying attention and typed “I cannot wait to please you tonight”. Yup, for everyone to see. I didn’t speak to anyone for the rest of the day. Learned my lesson on non work topics too!

justinsgirl2016:  A few years ago I was going through my phone deleting old messages and accidentally sent an old text to my ex. The context of the text made it seem like I was genuinely trying to reach out and talk to him but in a slightly unhinged way. So embarrassing! The worst thing is he had dumped me in a really brutal way (by text ironically) and I was especially keen to maintain some dignity!

justinsgirl2016:  Yea one time I was talking to my boss on the phone and I always say “bye love you” to my son when I hang up with him and it just popped out when I was talking to my boss.  He was like uh thanks!

That’s hilarious!

I had a good friend who’s name was Marissa*, and recently started trying to be friends with another named Malissa*.  Not real names because they’re very unique, but you get the idea.  One letter off.  I thought I was texting my good friend, sent her a pic of an event and said “you’re going to this with me, it’ll be awesome” or something along those lines.  We texted about the event back and forth until I finally realized by her slight confusion and reservation that it was a completely different person.  It was super awkward because looking back I came off SUPER pushy to hang out.  We definitely weren’t at that stage yet.  We had never seen each other outside of the chiropractice office where we met and chatted casually.  So awkward!

Kinda sorta. Back when group texts were newer, I received a text message from a friend that looked like it was a single text from HIM to ME. Ends up it was a group message from his iPhone but I had an Android and couldn’t see other parties were in on it. Or maybe it was vice-versa (me:iPhone, him:Android). At any rate, I responded VERY inappropriately with a joke about dick size and all these random texts started flowing in from people I didn’t know. I was MORTIFIED.

I once had a good friend in college who was very active in the Christian groups on campus, never swore, dressed modestly, etc. Lovely girl. Her name was Justine.

One day, I wanted to let my then boyfriend, now fiance, know that he would be receiving enthusiastic fellatio when I returned home that evening. His name is Justin.

Guess who that text got sent to?

In my last job, I frequently had to call an employee whose name was Angel over the course of the day. My nickname for my ex was also Angel. Starting a phone call with, “Hey, Angel,” sometimes accidentally put me in lovey-dovey mode and I can’t tell you how often I ended the call: “Love you! Bye!” He had a good sense of humor about it, thank goodness.

back in the days of texting to twitter, I accidently tweeted a message for an ex that was thankfully on the lighter side of dirty talk, didn’t notice until a friend replied back WTF?? I panic deleted the entire account and haven’t been back to twitter since.

on a more recent occasion that was slightly related, I had a friend who everyone was a bit convinced had a major crush and was chatting on the phone and he straight up was like “OK love you” when we were saying goodbye and I just let it get awkwardly quiet and was like ….er……? thankfully he was talking to his mom.
