- Wedding: August 2010
Am I a terrible bride if I don’t make an itinerary for Out of Town guests in our bag?
We’re not dropping bags off at hotels. We’re actually inviting all of the guests to come to a campfire, the night before the wedding, to welcome them to the region and give them Welcome Totes. We’re not including the usual water and snacks, but some local brochures, homemade soap, sunblock and a custom postcard.
I thought about printing out our wedding map (as we did not mail one with the invites, but have it posted on the wedding website), but if they’ve found their way to the campfire, they’ve already conquered the rural roads and likely seen the map/directions provided. (NB-The venue isn’t far from the campfire site.)
But what if I didn’t print the map and include it? I don’t really think I need an itinerary, as the reception is following the ceremony at the same location.
What if I do include the map, what would I put with it? A welcome letter? What do I say!?!?
