We are having beer and wine with a signiture drink at our wedding Sept. 23, 2011. However we need suggestions on what type of wine, domestic beer, and signiture drinks will go over well! I’ll take all suggestions! Thanks!

Mint Juleps! Okay, most people actually hate those, I seem to be one of the few who actually enjoys them.

White Wine: Pinot Grigio is pretty popular and well liked by most people. Sauvign Blanc is good too. Excuse my horrible spelling.
Red Wine: Cabernet or Merlot are good
Beer: Get a few varieties. I say: Miller Light, Heineken, Stella Artois, Corona. That should be enough variety for everyone. But ask your Fiance and see what him and his friends drink the most.
Signature Drink: Vodka is a crowd please. Martha has some good ideas HERE
Or you could always just pick a drink that’s special to the two of you. My Fiance and I LOVE margaritas. So if we do a signature drink we’d probably do a special type of margarita. You could also do something seasonal. I see your wedding is in Sept – so maybe do something a little more “fall” esque – a cider, or something with cinnimon spice? What is your theme, or colors? Think about what you want it to look like, then go from there.

We are doing the same thing. For wine I plan to do a Riesling white wine and a malbec red wine. For the signature drinks we each choose two. I am doing a dragon berry martini made with Bacardi dragon berry rum, cranberry juice and lime for the first option. The second girlie option I am still unsure of, I would like something purple as that is my main color. The grooms drinks are going to be a white rum and coke with a hint of lime for the first option. I am also stumped with the second grooms drink. I will be watching this post for more ideas too!

For the signature drink, some Martini derivate might be your best option (Flirtini, Pomegranate Martini, etc.).
White wines: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc
Red wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Beer: Well, I know Miller, Bud, Heineken, Michelob Ultra are poplular, but you should include a choice for people like me, who like REAL beer that tasted like beer and not like washwater. That would be Sam Adams, for example, or something from a local microbrewery.

I don’t know what they’ll let you do….but we do wine tastings every month and hands down a favorite has been “Sexy Wine Bomb”. It’s inexpensive red blend and everyone I know loves it–wine drinkers and non-wine drinkers alike. I plan on buying cases for my wedding for the table.
Good luck!

I don’t know much about wine, I would think cab and merlot for red and a chardonnay for white, maybe thro in a pinot? For beer, I would try to do a few varieties of selection. You can do the Bud, Bud Lights *or coors lt, miller lt* Then maybe throw in like a heineken or Corona, and some type of more tastier beer. By tastier, and this is a total biase opinion, I would choose Blue Moon, or some type of Sam Adams *or whatever local brews there are*
