You don’t have an option for nothing. I don’t drink, but we had an open bar for our guests.

I’m going to let it ride…. I definitely plan on catching a buzz. ๐Ÿ™‚

If wasted comes along later in the night (after all the elders have gone for the night)…so be it.

I kinda need an in between option.  I am going to drink as much as I do regularly.  Approximately a bottle of champagne.  Won’t be drunk but will definitely imbibe.

LOL. I was JUST having this conversation! I plan on only having a few drinks, not a lot at all. I have been to sooooo many weddings were I drank to much. It’s not necessary for me to get wasted at my own wedding ๐Ÿ™‚

I got fairly drunk and mooned everyone on my way out of the reception. It was awesome.

I won’t get smashed. I can’t. I just can’t see me being that drunk on my wedding day. Maybe later in the night, but def not before 9.

I think I had 2 drinks, but didn’t finish the second one. Enough to feel a slight buzz, but not enough to be close to drunk.

I chose the second option (I will be getting drunk) but because I will be having a great time!!! but, there needs to be another option because I will also remember everything… I can multitask that way ๐Ÿ˜‰

Really, I will probably have one cocktail at first (I’ve even considered having the cocktail hour BEFORE the ceremony… pshaa!  Just long enough for people to get one drink so everyone is really relaxed and chipper…probably won’t happen that way, though…) and then I’ll sip two glasses of wine with dinner (our usual nightly consumption) and cake and dessert, and then another cocktail dancing. That will put me at the end of the night having lots of fun, remembering it all and feeling really good! Overall, that’s not much alcohol over four hours for me. Any more than that, though, is the point at which I will begin getting too silly.

Thanks for the thread… I just realized that this was actually on my to do list (my wedding night drinking plan) and now I can check it off!! Next I need to do my wedding night eating plan ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m not sure if we’re having alcohol at our wedding or not. It depends on pricing and some other things. If we do, I’ll drink a little bit. Probably what I normally drink 2-3 glasses/bottles. I’ve never been a fan of getting drunk.. and since a lot of family will be there, I’m not going that far!

I’m much friendlier when I have a buzz on so I definitely plan to get to that point. I won’t get sloshed since I would prefer to remember the day I’m paying a fortune for but I definitely plan to drink. Mimosas will more than likely be my best friend that day.

I had a few glasses of champagne before our ceremony and was very slightly buzzed – but it was more so just “happy” feeling. During dinner I had a liquor drink and then I didnt have another drink until almost the end of the night. IT was a very strong one but I put it down after about 5 minutes of drinking it! I was not really tipsy at all – just on a natural high!

I probably sipped from 3 or 4 glasses, but I’d be surprised if I had even one glass total. It’s like eating; there’s no time; it doesn’t happen!

I’ll probably have a few, but we have an afternoon wedding, so I doubt anyone is going to get sloppy drunk.
