Hi guys, I came up with an idea I could use some objective feedback on. To find a compromise between the small rehearsal dinner we want and the larger one my parents want, I suggested that we have an “open house” following the dinner so that the out of town guests have an activity and my parents have an extra night to see the people they want. So far, everyone seems on board with this plan, to invite any guests who want to come over for drinks and finger foods and to hang out casually. (And this all should be pretty workable because we have our venue booked for the whole weekend and all the events are taking place there.)
First part, I haven’t thought of a better term than “open house,” but I’m not crazy about it. It sounds like I’m selling real estate. Can anyone think of a better term?
Second part, has anyone done something similar? How did it work out?
