Let me preface all of this by saying… I’m not a very good gift giver.
I love to provide food and cakes, and sweets for any event a friend is honoring. But Gifts, the ones you mull over and pick out individually… Not my strong suit, And after being a bridesmaid to some pretty cool brides that really put a good effort into taking care of the girls the day of….
I knew I was going to prepare and make sure that I did not fail!
I first had to think why the gifts needed to be special and what special meant to me.
1. They had contain elements that were all equal. As in, for every personal thing, there is a common gift to show togetherness.
2. They had to have certain things personalized, I have had the pleasure of reusing many of very useful items that come in handy and are easily identifiable. Such as hangers, totes, beverage containers, bottle openers, and the like.
3. I really want to give them the morning of. So I want to spend extra time on the packaging.
4. Do my very best to avoid anything not reusable or tacky! (hard part!)
And with my list, I move forward.
I wanted to buy tumblers from Starbucks and decorate the inner piece and twists out.
Here was my pinterest inspiration: here is the link to the maker http://www.etsy.com/listing/89945876/6-personalized-bridesmaid-acrylic?utm_campaign=Share&utm_medium=PageTools&utm_source=Pinterest
But alas, after four Starbucks locations, I gave up. But as good fate would have it, when I went into work (Yes, I am a Barista), we had received the newest cups, and the color scheme couldn’t be more wedding appropriate!!!!
Here’s a Link and a Photo, both property of Starbucks
Sorry for the picture size, not sure how to change that!
So, with Five in Tow (Four maids and one, me). I went to Michaels, and purchased some mod podge acrylic spray, and ribbon, and glitter letters. And some other things! But let’s not get into those DIY yet.
And with some time, some pintrest and some youtube videos… I feel I’m off to a good start!
