Are you planning on wearing heels, and if you are, did you wear them at this fitting?  If you did – the length is perfect!

I don’t think steaming will make a huge difference with length…

Hey I just wanted to throw out my 2 cents, this is my same dress and I ordered it just as the floor model I tried on, regular length, which touched the floor and then some. When I picked my dress up it was WAYYY too short, like 1-2 inches too short for me (I’m 5’8″) and it did not hit the floor even without shoes. I tried on the floor model again and it was draping on the floor, but it measured the exact same on side seams. ???

Finally the seamstress figured out it is the ruching, the pleats on the floor model had come undone. This added a good inch onto the dress instantly when we untacked some pleats on mine and did not change the look of the dress at all. If you are concerned about the length have a seamstress take some of the tacks out, believe me this helps.  This is exactly what I did with mine and it added just that extra little bit of length on.

I think the length is perfect with the crinoline.  I heard somewhere once that it’s better to hem the dress a little shorter than you would like because the dress actually slips down during the reception (it’ll probably happen even though you have the off the shoulder thing going on).

Here’s my 2 cents: I actually like the dress longer!! I think it’s kinda dorky when a women’s shoes show and it looks like the dress is too short for her. You’ll look great either way you decide. 🙂

I definitely like the dress better with the crinoline and I don’t think it’s too short at all! Either way, you look gorgeous!

I definitely see what you mean about the length, with vs. without the crinoline…but I dont think it makes too much of a difference…It definitely doesn’t look too short with the crinoline, it looks beautiful on you and nobody will be checking out your feet hehe.
