I have never used Blue Nile myself, but when I was researching diamonds and settings for my own ring, I used Pricescope.com.  A lot of people highly recommend Blue Nile and a few other online shops as well.  They claim the customer service is fantastic and the online stores has better prices than brick and motar stores.

I’ve had very recent experience with Blue Nile so I’m happy to comment! πŸ™‚

Fiance and I ordered my diamond eternity wedding band through them, and then later decided that it was just a little too tiny (width-wise, carat-wise), so we called them and they had no problem exchanging it for a different ring, even though it was 1-2 days past the 30 day return policy limit. Free shipping back to them for the exchange, and then free shipping on the new band as well – which is beautiful!

So I really don’t have enough good things to say about them – very quick shipping, beautiful rings, EXCELLENT customer service – I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again! πŸ™‚

Also a tip in case you don’t know – always check http://www.retailmenot.com for Blue Nile coupon codes before ordering! We got 10% off my band. Happy shopping! πŸ˜€
