After going thru moissanitco’s ring designs, I have narrowed down my choices to two. TWO! That’s a great accomplishment for me. Lol. Anyway, I do need your opinions please. I am using a 2.5ct/8mm cushion cut forever one moissy.
Eng553 (“somewhat” looks like Tiffany Novo), i like how “sturdy” it looks and i plan on getting this with a double claw prong. I have two boys, and i feel like this ring can stand some banging.
Second choice is Enr139. I drool over the claw prongs on this one. I think claw prongs are so freakin sexy, especially on cushion cuts! I just asire this style so much.
Thoughts? Im so so torn. Oh btw, i will be pairing whichever ring I get with a plain wedding band. That’s important 😉 Thanks for your time!

I love #2! #1 is pretty but I’m not a huge fan of interchangeable peg head settings. I know you do see them on some high end rings but no matter the size or quality of the stone, they look cheap to me. That’s just the kooky in me showing.

I prefer the first because I don’t like it when it looks the diamond is just perched on top of the band. You couldn’t go wrong with either one though!

You clearly prefer the second one so pick that one! 🙂

I agree with PP, I can tell you prefer the second one. It is beautiful!

Seems like you prefer the second one and I also think it’s much prettier! Gorgeous!

I agree I don’t like peg heads. They look disjointed to me. also the profile of the shank on the first seems oddly high in a way. I prefer the second. It has a better flow and is more elegant and aesthetic to my eye. It will be plenty sturdy. My ring is very similar so that’s the style I gravitate towards. I would add a diamond pave bar across the sides of the prongs for safety but, if you really love to have the open basket look then that’s up to your taste.

1st one looks much sturdier and easier to wear as it sits lower. 2nd looks like it will just snap off, way too flimsy for a big stone. Do #1 with #2 prongs.

The first one is thicker and looks like it would hold up well to some banging around, but I love the second one more. It’s so pretty and elegant. It would also show more of the stone which is always a plus in my opinion.

you know what, great point. You’re right.

that’s really helpful, thanks!

I like the second one better and I think you do too 🙂

Thanks everyone! I knew you guys would be helpful. Claw setting it is!

Did you see this one? Maybe just change to claw prongs. This avoid the peg-head sitting on band, so is a much more secure setting with the slight shrug to the shoulders and better basket. Its a custom design, but they have the CAD so should be an easy-peasy change for a different stone.
