Oh what a relief! I love love love the names you chose!. Normal classic names – woot! .
Like others, I cringe when I see threads titled baby names, and feel so sad for little Ylyzybyth or Mykyll….

I normally open these threads for the cringe factor, but those are legitimately lovely names. Can’t go wrong!
I love them! Ruby is on my list as well, classic, but not terribly common. Congratulations on yor pregnancy!
snowflake8 : I am partial to James as that is my FI’s name. His father is also James so if we have a boy we will name him Jameson to keep with his family tradition and to avoid the credit, medical record, etc mixups him and his father have dealt with.
James is probably our top choice. But no middle name yet. Although, I dislike the nickname Jimmy (I think it’s because I know an obnoxious Jimmy). So I won’t be calling him that lol.
you got plenty of time. we didn’t find out sex either. i was induced at 36w6d. we had agreed on a boys name and stuck between 2 middle names. but never really talked girl names.
2 hours before my induction, we started talking girls names and narrowed it down to 2 . figured we would finalize when the baby was born.
it was a boy!
I love them! Congrats on your pregnancy and super cool you’re going to wait to find out the gender
I like the name James, but not Jimmy. I like the name David too.
We had a dog named Ruby so that’s what it reminds me of.
I like James and Ruby. I really don’t like the nn Jimmy. It just makes me think of my uncle who has a lot of issues. I also knew a Jimmy in HS who was extremely annoying.
snowflake8 : You can never go wrong with names that you don’t have to explain or spell.
Good solid choices.
I like them. James is our sons middle name. Strong and classic. Ruby is pretty too.
snowflake8 : Love James David. Of course, James is my Dad’s name and David is my husband, so I’m biased… 😉
Not a huge fan of Ruby. Well, I actually like the name in itself and think it’s beautiful but I’m a teacher and have taught a lot of naughty Rubys. That’s just my personal context though, and Ruby is a pretty name and goes so well with Ann.
