vee1980 : Thanks for the feedback.
mayamiyazono : Thank you, I will keep that in mind!
katebluestone : Thank you! I am not able to try it on, but I will see if I can find anything close. I am thinking I might have to do some calling around before I go to find another so big!
cameobride : Thank you! Please see pictures.

I love your dress. It is very beautiful, dramatic, amazing. If you feel good wearing it, buy it, wear it!

Largest dress I have tried on so far:

The designer just sent me some pictures of the same dress a different bride ordered but with a shorter shirt.

Gorgeous dress!!! But I agree with PP’s that the functionality may be a burden. How will you walk through that tiny house in that?

keep in mind you will need a HUGE crinoline with 3 or even more wire hoops to hold up all those layers of skirt and make it look like the model picture. The good news is the crinoline hoops will keep the skirts off your legs so it’ll be less hot to walk in. However the layers will still feel really hot so I wouldn’t recommend for a summer wedding…it’ll be best if your wedding is during a much cooler season.
Being short also means most of the skirts will be on the floor. Opt for a higher waistline instead of a drop waist so that your legs will look longer. Are you wearing heels? I’m 5’1 and wearing 3 inches heels in a full A-line. I also love ballgowns on me so please don’t think that your height isn’t suitable for full skirts!

patchm : I like the second dress you posted.

Have you given some thought to what you are trying to “say” with this dress?
I think it is exquisite, but it would seem to me that it would be a very difficult problem of management unless you were to ask one or more of your attendants to stick with you through the whole day, and I’m thinking really truly STICK.
Can it be bustled for the reception? It doesn’t look like it could be, but even if it could, the bustle itself would be enormous, and once again it would seem to me to be very difficult to manage.
As with any major life decision, your goal would be to decide whether you love this dress enough to blow your budget, subject yourself to limited mobility throughout your wedding and reception, and involve one or more guests in “managing” your dress throughout your whole wedding, (or hiring a “gown wrangler” to perform the task).
Frankly, there are many MANY gowns that can give you a more practical bang for your buck, but if you continually compare other choices to this one, you probably won’t find one.
Since you are obviously a very attractive woman, you may feel safe in the knowledge that whatever you decide, you will look beautiful on your Wedding Day!

If you love it then get it but I would get a 2nd dress for the reception. My first wedding dress became hot and a pain to dance in and it was a mermaid and I got married in the UK in winter. How will you fit to sit at a table or on the dance floor with other guests? I would not advise getting this dress by itself. I think you will feel uncomfortable as time goes on and end up regretting it.

I love it, and when will you be able to wear a dress like that again? I say go for it.

That’s an insanely beautiful dress. That skirt is gorgeous! However……. this dress is going to wear you girl….. That’s a lot of dress for someone that is 5 feet tall. I’d highly recommend looking at other bridal shops that carry something similar so you can see yourself with it on.
But if you like it, go for it! It’s stunning!

The detailing is pretty, but it’s way too big in my opinion. It reminds me of Disney princess dresses like for little girls playing dress up.

patchm : It’s a lovely dress, but I dont think it fits your venue. Plus, the skit is gigantic! I love the one you posted of you in it. I think its elegant and fits the venue well.

I think it is a stunning dress. But I think it is WAY too much dress if you want to be twirling like a princess!! 🙂 I can’t even imagine the work it would take to bustle that dress so you could twirl… It is going to be very heavy and if you want to dance, I can’t see how you could do it in this dress? Have you looked at beautiful ball gowns? This dress is a ceremony only dress and while gorgeous, I cannot imagine spending hours in it!!
