I don’t know if I am being a freaking-out Zilla or not and would like your opinion.
Our DJ seemed great. Professional, responsive, fair-priced. We gave him a deposit and contract months ago. At that time, he did tell us that he does not start to work on our specific music until about the week before the wedding. Which is November 3rd, by the way. His approach was fine with me and I appreciated him setting the expectation professionally.
About five weeks ago, I realized I had a question only the DJ could answer. I told him I needed help and asked him to call me. He didn’t call back but I called and reached him in his car. He was nice, but could not answer until he was at his computer. He promised to call me the next day…and did not.
I was not worried yet. I called, texted, and emailed with no response and then worried something to happened to him or his family. I then emailed and said I was worried and to PLEASE reply. He replied via email, said switching to an iphone messed things up and he was out of town and would “call you when I get back.”
That was almost two weeks ago. I am doubting how reliable this guy is. I plan to email him thru his Craigslist ad. I will tell him what I’m worried about and remind him what my question is.
Am I crazy to worry? Should I give him a deadline to contact me or I get a new DJ? (losing deposit, which is no big deal.) If I do that, should I make it soon?
By The Way, my question is about whether we can use a song off YouTube if my friend is not able to play it on acousitc guitar.
