As much as a vendor cares, and will take great care of you on your wedding, they just don’t care the way you do about your event. For something so minor (such as your youtube question) it seems that your DJ knows its not a big deal, and therefore, has slipped his mind. He, in my opinion, should be better at getting back to you – however, September is a CRAZY wedding month for vendors, and if he said he gets everything together a week before, you’re not even on his radar at present. Do what your gut says, but I think he’s fine as-is.

I don’t know… I disagree with the previous poster. I would be pretty ticked and see it as a red flag, but that’s just me. My wedding is just over a year away (we booked him uber early) and he had been amazing so far. He even sent me an email to wish me happy birthday. I emailed him a question 8 AM on Saturday morning about extending our contract from 5 to 6 hours with him and he replied with the revised contract by 10 AM. His prompt responses ensure me he’s reliable and dependable. It would drive me nuts to have flaky vendors.
