we got married secretly last year at the courthouse, but are doing our ceremony this year. A lot of people don’t know that we are already legally married because we kept it very low key and it was just signing the paper to us. We still very much want a wedding.
Back then, we exchanged rings – plain white gold bands.
For the wedding this year, I want a 3rd ring (anniversary ring), but I already have the plain band. I like the look of 2 diamond bands (one on each side) but the plain band has significance to me since it was our original wedding band. So basically the only reason for getting 2 anniversary bands is because i think it looks prettier and symmetrical.
What would you do?
Another option is that I could wear the plain band on the right hand…
thanks so much!

I like how you have it set up in the first picture it looks great and different. I LOVE you’re engagement ring!

I like the symmetry, but I prefer significance, I’d go for the plain band.

i like the first one. love your e-ring !

I think we’re basically ring twins on all accounts! My wedding band is your anniversary band. My e-ring is also your e-ring. I also want a plain band so I can have it on when doing anything that will be rough on the diamonds. I am currently trying to convince my Fiance to let me get a plain band as well.
I definitely love the look of the one anniversary band with the plain band! I ALSO love the look of the two anniversary bands on each side of the e-ring. But I think you should go with the significance and have one anniversary band with the plain band. 🙂 Either way, totally beautiful!!

usually I’m all about symmetry but I actully really do like the look of the second one, plus you can’t beat the emotional significance 🙂
the first one I was like yeah, that’s pretty, but the second one i was like OHHHH!

thank you everyone for your responses.
do you think it looks lopsided to wear the wedding band, anniversary band then the e-ring?

I love how the second picture looks!!

@lilsweetie: It actually doesn’t look bad atj all since there’s a flowing look of plain band, diamonds, and the plain band/diamond of the ering. I was considering wearing the plain band then ering and then the anniversary, but I kind of like the way you have it in the second pic. It looks great!

I love them both! I have a similar anniversary band like pictured as my wedding band. I just wish it was May 2013 so I could wear it!

I like the bottom picture, but I am a really sentimental person so I would want to keep my wedding band on my left hand. Both look pretty though!
