Good evening bees!
Just wondering your opinions on this dress? It is very similar to the pronovias style that I liked but with a little sparkle and it is orderable! (background: the pronovias is discontinued so I would have to buy preowned or the sample). Just wondering your opinions on it!
My pros and cons:
Pro: I love the silhouette
Cons: wish the train was longer and not too crazy about corset backs
What do you think? I will also post the pronovias for comparison.
Background: I will be getting married in a very elegant/regal building and reception is in a ballroom. It will be december, winter. I want to look romantic and elegant but also have a WOW effect but still keep a wintery feel. I will be descending a staircase as my entrance to my ceremony. (For an idea of decor see my gallery… I previously posted my centerpieces). My wedding colors are ivory, gold and plum.
Pronovias: sample is WAY too big on me

Love the sweetheart neckline of the Mori Lee.

Mori Lee, definitely. It is the one dress I would love to have over my own. Stunning!

OK the Mori Lee is normally all of the things I do not like in dresses but I have to say you look beyond drop dead gorgeous in it!! Go for it – you look fabulous
Love it on you

Both are beautiful! The main thing I like on the Mori Lee is the sweetheart neckline. I love the feminine simplicity of the Pronovias though… so it depends on how much embellishment you want on the dress! The only way they could be more beautiful is if the Pronovias gown had the sweetheart neckline of the Mori Lee… PERFECT!

I agree! I definitely do like the neckline of the mori lee better, but the train on the pronovias is to die for.
@unixfairy: thank you so much!! I want to get the one that people will be like “ooooooo, ahhh” lol
@rojo009: I think that for my taste, the sparkle on the mori lee is not too much.

@SimplyMrsC: I’m normally not into too much bling but I love the Mori Lee on you! You look gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous in it! Is there any way they can lengthen the train? I know some designers offer that option for one or two hundred dollars more!

I think the detailing on the pronovias is much more timeless. The Mori Lee already looks a little dated to me.

They both look great on you but you want that wow factor? I said wow when I saw the first dress. Looks absolustely amazing on you. I understand not wanting a corset back – I actually never liked them and didn’t have one. But after doing bridal research and really seeing all the different dress options out there, it really doesn’t bother me anymore, and looks wonderful on a silhouette like the Mori Lee. I say this because it really can do wonders for a silhouette and still look really classy.

I like the Mori Lee a lot more! I think it’s perfect for you and your venue.

@WYAtocha: I asked if the train can be lengthened either by the designer or the seamstress and the bridal salon said no 🙁
@bride2befl21340: I am glad to hear that, when I think corset I think lingerie for some reason, which I shouldn’t be thinking when I am buying a wedding gown lol. But it does definitely give you better shape and PLUS save on alterations! I just want to still look classy.

@nutMeg13: I always associate winter with sparkle so that is a plus!
