I don’t think it looks too high.

I don’t think it’s too high. Mine sits up high as well, but I never hit it on anything. I think you subconsiously are aware and are more careful without realizing it.

I personally love a high set ring, I think it’s great!

@Ms.BlueEyesDC:  it’s a beautiful ring.  love the stone.  however, i see what you are seeing.  i don’t think it’s the height so much, it’s the visual of it.  instead of a double halo, it looks like a dome from the side.  halos from the side often look like #17 pic.  is that what you were expecting?

I think it looks nice πŸ™‚ very beautiful ring!

My diamond sits on a tall crown, and it’s one of the features I like most about it.

Mine sits sorta high but honestly, I like it because thats me. Yours is not too high and its not like a skinny solitare that is crazy high either so I dont think you will risk catching it or breaking it. Its very nice πŸ™‚

@Ms.BlueEyesDC:  What a pretty and unusual ring! I don’t think it looks too high. As long as you love your ring and are comfortable with it, that is all that matters! πŸ™‚

Mine also sits very high. And often times gets caught on everything. It did feel strange at first but I’ve gotten used to it πŸ™‚ I think your ring is lovely. Very vintage looking πŸ™‚

I love it from the top. From the side, I see what you’re saying, it looks a little high, and it’s quite blingy. However, I think it’s gorgeous, not very traditional, but still elegant. The main thing is that you’re comfortable wearing it. If you’re always banging it on things, or it’s getting caught on stuff, then maybe swap the setting, and explain to Fiance what’s going on. If you’re only self-conscious about the look, I like it and my vote is to leave it the way it is πŸ™‚

Omg love the center stone!!! If I’d get a colored stone if I wasn’t OCD about matching. I don’t wear much jewelry so my ring isn’t as big or blingy, but I love looking at other people’s blingy rings haha! It is a bit high (that was a major problem we faced when searching because I’d knock the crap out of it), but if it doesn’t bother you I think it looks great!

If the height bothers you, maybe you could get a setting/custom setting like this one only shorter…just depends on your taste!

But I do love halos!!! We are purchasing a small-ish 3 stone halo ring (gives me a manageable amount of bling, a halo, and an interesting setting)

That would drive me NUTS.

Then again, I specifically looked for a lot profile ring.

It is pretty though. I’d only change it if you find yourself having trouble with practicality. Aesthetically, it’s fine!

Nope not too high, or too blingy. I think it is lovely. Yours is about as high as mine I think. I don’t usually catch it on anything now that I am used to it.
