I have fallen in love with this setting. Usually I default to really simple designs, like a plain solitaire, but this setting speaks to me. Pretty sure I want yellow gold. I’m leaning towards marquise as it kind of fits the vibe i get from this setting (sort of 60’s cocktail ring) but I’m not sure. The center stone will be .75 to 1 carat or so. Ring size is a 4, so it should look substantial especially with a thin band. I’m less inclined to go with round as I had a round solitaire ering from my first marriage. What do you think?

I love pears, but I actually don’t feel that setting suits one. I’d go with a marquise or round with that setting.

This setting looks like it’s made for a marquise diamond!

I agree with the previous poster, the pear looks unbalanced in this setting. I voted for the marquise but the round is pretty also.

The only thing I’d change in this setting is the prongs. It might be the rendering, but they look very bulky and disrupt the flow of the design.

Definitely the Marquise (maybe I’m biased as I’m a Marquise girl)- it’s beautiful and unique!

Honestly, i never cared for a marquise but this setting looks like it was made for one!
My mom has been looking for a new setting for her marquise diamond, and I may have to show her this setting for inspiration!

I agree about the prongs, more of a claw would be better I think. I’m not sure if Brilliant Earth customizes or not.
